New Patients

Welcome

Dr. Reddy's philosophy and approach to psychiatric treatment is practical and goal-oriented. He uses his years of training and experience to develop an effective individualized treatment plan tailored to meet the unique needs of every patient.

At your first appointment, Dr. Reddy will ask you questions in order to get to know you, and to establish a detailed mental health history. He might also ask you questions about your childhood and other experiences. After doing this, Dr. Reddy will work with you to create a treatment plan and come to a diagnosis. At your first appointment, you might be recommended to a different level of care, prescribed medication, or Dr. Reddy might order lab work. A follow up appointment will be scheduled on the day of your first appointment.

New Appointments

An initial office visit is approximately one hour. it is suggested that you arrive 10-15 minutes prior to your appointment time in order to complete new patient forms.

At the conclusion of your visit, you will be educated on the various factors that appear to have contributed to the development of symptoms(e.g. genetic, medical, childhood factors, current environmental stressors etc.). Your diagnoses and treatment plans will be discussed, based on your diagnoses you may be asked to fill out rating scales.

Follow Up Appointments

Follow-up visits are generally scheduled between 1-6 weeks following your initial visit, and are for 15-30 minutes. Once you are feeling well, follow-up visits will be approximately every 3 months. After one to two years of feeling "very well", you may continue your psychiatric care with your primary care physician(if you wish), or return to us on an as needed basis.
